why is it more sustainable?

Moss Agate is a set of coasters made upcycling LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene) plastic waste.

All plastic is sourced from local businesses in the UK and is actually their waste, as LDPE is used in shopping bags, film packaging and bubble wrap.

Production starts by melting plastic waste. The resulting plastic dough is then moulded into sheets and cut to shape. The marbling effect comes from kneading different colours of plastic waste together – with no extra pigment added.

Weez & Merl production is zero-waste because all offcuts are re-melted and used again.
