why is it more sustainable?

Obscure is a pendant lamp made with organic waste.

Named Orb, the material is made by mixing food waste sourced from the agriculture/food industry with an organic binder. The resulting composite is as strong as wood and is fully biodegradable.
This particular lamp reuses orange peels from local juice manufacturers, with approximately 3kg of peels going into each lampshade.

BIOHM is adopting more sustainable practices throughout its supply chain. All products are handcrafted and made-to-order, preventing the impact of overproduction. The making process is zero-waste, as all offcuts can be circled back into production. And at end-of-life, the material can be reused to make new products.
