Block is a handmade side table made entirely with waste materials.

The top is made of SilicaStone, a material that combines recycled glass and porcelain. The base is made of FSC-certified plywood coming from the offcuts of local manufacturers in the UK. Its shape is engineered to allow individual components to nest inside each other during cutting, minimizing manufacturing waste.

Alusid is adopting more sustainable practices throughout its supply chain. All raw materials are sourced within 320km from the studio. All manufacturing waste is reused, and all finished products can feed back into the process at the end of their life. All Alusid products are made-to-order, preventing the impact of overproduction.
