why is it more sustainable?

Indus is a bowl made out of mango wood.

Wood comes from mango trees that are cut down when they stop producing fruits. Using this wood allows farmers to get a higher income from felled trees.

Nkuku products are handmade by artisans working under fair and dignified conditions, using traditional tools and techniques. Nkuku has chosen to work with suppliers that are starting off in their fair trade journey, contributing to the creation of more ethical employment for artisans in India and around the world.

Nkuku is adopting more sustainable practices throughout its supply chain. Packaging is mainly made of recycled and recyclable corrugated cardboard, and shipment policies are continuously re-evaluated to further improve.
