Magna Atelier

why is it more sustainable?

Tokyo is a dining table made recycling glass.

The table base is made of iron and the top is made of a glass waste material.
Waste glass is sourced from industrial offcuts and out-of-spec pieces that get discarded during production. Glass shards are then recycled into a new Glaskeramik® surface through a multiple-melting process.

The process is powered by solar energy and water is reused several times to reduce waste. Pieces are then finished manually.
After use, the material can be re-melted to make new products, never becoming waste again.
Glaskeramik® has earned a Cradle to Cradle Gold certification.
