why is it more sustainable?

Restore is a basket made of recycled plastic bottles.

Plastic PET bottles and chopped, melted, and turned into felt sheets, that are then pressed into the final shape.

Muuto is adopting more sustainable practices throughout its supply chain. The company uses mainly certified raw materials and is incorporating more recycled inputs. Muuto is testing a take-back program on its Fiber Chair – recycling old chairs into new ones. Packaging uses mainly recycled inputs: at least 65% recycled material for box packaging, and at least 90% for retail shopping bags. With the aim of entirely eliminating plastic from packaging, Muuto has begun the discontinuation of styrofoam and has started replacing plastic bags with either reusable dust bags or paper bags.
